The Millionaire’s Handbook is comprised of 100 “Kaufmann Corollaries”, easy-to-read, one page Nuggets of Networking Wisdom. It was the best book on networking I had ever read. Why? Because you don’t have to wade through a lot of stuff to get to something useful. Every page has a lesson to learn.
Every day you will receive a Kaufmann Corollary (KC) or two. In addition, I will add some of my experiences and those from the students who have been in my workshops.
Mell calls this little book “A quick read, but a lifetime study.” Here is the first excerpt. Enjoy
KAUFMANN COROLLARY #1
Don’t be Late
I am not talking about good manners … I am talking about Leveraging Your Time and Investment … I am talking about expanding your business success … You have been scolded all your life … “Don’t be late!” … By your mother … By your father … By your teacher … By your employer … But no one has ever explained the financial advantages of being early … Vince Lombardi … the late coach of the Green Bay Packers said … “If you are 10 minutes early … you are late” … I say … “Unless you are 30 minutes early to events … you’re late” … I ask the ques¬tion in my training … “Why be early?” … The answers are simple, … “I get the best parking spot” … “I get the best seat” … “I get the biggest bagel” … These reasons do not add one more comma to your paycheck and are Monetary Mistakes …
Be Early, Stay Late
==============================================================
This corollary usually has a few people squirming in their seats; the people who arrived late…even after the workshop began. It happens every time.
Kaufmann Corollary #1 (KC from now on) establishes from the start that effective networking involves planning and preparation. This KC and two more on the subject of being late (#11 ) REALLY hit home for this writer….
