Notes: LOCAL BUSINESS LEADERS TO SPEAK ON “SURVIVING IN SAN DIEGO - SUCCESS AND LEADERSHIP IN TROUBLED TIMES” San Diego, CA February 2, 2009 - How do you survive and even rise to leadership in the most challenging economy in decades? On February 25th three of San Diego’s most prominent business executives will discuss their personal pathways to career survival and leadership success in a panel session presented by the SDSU Business Alumni Network. The forum, billed as "Three Women Wednesday," will be moderated by Gayle Falkenthal, President of Falcon Valley Group. It features the following participants: Susan R. Nowakowski - Chief Executive Officer, President, and a Director of AMN Healthcare Services, Inc., the largest healthcare staffing company in the United States and the leading nationwide provider of physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. Irene M. Stillings - Executive director of the non-profit California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE), an organization devoted to creating a sustainable energy future. Irene joined CCSE in 2001, bringing over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Gail K. Naughton, Ph.D. - Bio-tech inventor, business entrepreneur, and Dean of SDSU College of Business Administration. The program will highlight such issues as: 1) How difficult times are also great opportunities for success - if you know what to do; 2) what it takes to build a career in top level leadership; 3) how to assess your progress along the way; 4) what to watch out for; and 5) exercising leadership in ways that make good things happen for your company, its people, and the San Diego region. Cost: SDSU Alumni Association Members $35; Business Community & General Public $40; Students $25.
