Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why do you have both a “NEF Newsletter Subscription” and “Site Registration / Login Form“?
    • The NEF Newsletter is a traditional email news letter that you will receive to your email in box on a regular basis.
    • The NEF web site registration allows you to create a user profile and then participate in the NEF Forum and post comments to for our various articles and event posts.
  • Should I take a Newsletter Subscription or create a NEF account?
    • I recommend that you do both. Here’s why. The NEF Newsletter Subscription will save you time because we send to you the updates and happenings. The NEF account allows you to post to the forums and comments ~ this is an important SEO / market globally strategy. Simply put the NEF website is rapidly indexed by Google, the major search engines (both web and blogging) spiders and our RSS Feeds. When you post a comment or participate in the forum – the world knows about it via the search engines.
    • Hint: The first place to start is posting your “self introduction” to the NEF Forum making sure that your website is listed in your profile signature that you set up through the NEF Forum.
  • Why does the calendar show year 1900 or 1901?
    • We’re not too sure why the year gets messed-up (a technical term) sometimes happens.
    • The remedy is to click on the “today link” in the upper right sidebar. This will take you to the proper date.

  • How do I add my networking events?
    • Each Local Networking Guide has a link to submit/add your events.
    • The links are in various places during our Beta 3 redesign. So you may have to seach a little bit.
    • If you can not find it or there is a problem with the link when you do find it, please let us know via the Contact Form on Local Networking Guide.
