Hi Everyone!
I am so very excited to be writing my very first newsletter as the Editor for the Orange County Networking Event Guide! I am anxious to share with you information about events I attend, upcoming events not to miss and any other information that I run across to help us all be happy, healthy and prosperous networkers.

This past Friday morning I attended the Orange County Score’s Women in Business Breakfast at the beautiful Center Club in Costa Mesa. The guest speaker was Felena Hanson of Perspective Marketing. She shared with us “The 10 Rules of Customer Feedback”. She brought to light how important it is to ask your clients and customers for feedback. Many of us hesitate to ask or provide questionnaires to find out how we are doing, but this is one of the best ways to improve your business! This feedback is valuable information we all can learn from. Plus, asking your client’s for their opinion satisfies Felena’s first rule; Make your clients and customers feel important!

I try to attend as many events as my time will allow that have guest speakers. Not only do you get to network with the fabulous people that attend the event, but you can always find useful and enlightening information that is presented by the speakers. The next Women in Business Breakfast for Orange County is in January. Look for it to appear in the calendar shortly.
I also heard through the grapevine that a new chapter of Fore Networking will be beginning soon, I will be interviewing the new Chapter President soon and will share with you all the exciting news and info that I get.

My “must go” event for this month is the Santa Ana Business Expo. This is a fabulous event to showcase your business, or attend to learn more about the businesses in the area and how you can utilize their services or refer them to others in your network. The Business Expo is on Tuesday November 18th from 4p-7p…YEP, after work. Go network, mingle and then have a bite to eat out. This is sure to be a successful night.

I also want to welcome the Orange County Executive Network to the calendar. They have what sounds to be a super event on Tuesday November 25. Yes… with a guest speaker!! Check out the details on the calendar….By the way, they found us and entered their own event…you can enter your networking event for free!

Ok, I can be a gabber so I’ll end here and save more for next time. Remember to make your clients and customers feel important and make yourself feel important and make the time to network!

Calendar News
We continue to update and streamline the Guide & Calendars. This week we are featuring:

• A more compact look to the “All Events” view
• Sponsorships
• Reactions to the Business Opportunity Category

We decided that the “All Events” view was too cumbersome with the overabundance of referral club chapters. We considered giving them their own pages, but opted for keeping them in with everyone else and consolidating them. Now, all multiple chapters meeting at the same time will be consolidated into one listing. It’s much more manageable now. Of course, if you want to break out of the pack, you can always get an affordable Featured Listing and be on the opening page! (and in Special Mentions).

Sponsorships Our traffic numbers will now suppport advertising. Our interactive Web 2.0 platform is performing…beyond our projections. We are just moving out of Beta and have only done a fraction of our planned marketing.

We will ultimatley use an advertising agency. Our prices will then rise. If you want to reach our readers…the small business person…networkers and networking hosts at out low introductory prices then click here for details.

Business Opportunity Category “BizOpps” We recently debuted the “BizOpp” listing, and that got a flurry of activity. Alan Underkofler has reserved the Send Out Cards exclusive listing for the State of California. Adam Packard has reserved Send Out Card exclusive listing for Arizona. This is on a First-Come basis. Watch for their listings up soon.

Why are we offering this? In this economy, people are looking for jobs, considering self-employment, perhaps wanting a side business, and business opportunities. There are a variety of companies that offer opportunities for part-time and full-time income. We are connecting people offering BizOpps with the people considering BizOpps.

FYI…This is not limited to Multi-Level Marketing. You will see a listing for Link System® Trainers, as well!

It works like this: Each Networking Guide & Calendar has a category specifically for Business Opportunities.
